Mexico – Whale Hunting

Vision

When I arrived at the resort I met a very successful entrepreneur, an investor who was one of the speakers. When he saw me, he gave me a massive hug. Honestly, I was surprised that he still remembered me. I met him only once, it was around 15 months before and I was one of the students in the class of around 200 people, he was conducting a lectured in Phuket Thailand.

During that mastermind, I had a brief chat with him. I asked him what drives him at his level. He told me that he has a vision to “turn a third world country to a first world country”. When I heard it, I did not know it was a joke or he was for real, I did not know how to react, I never met anyone saying anything even remotely close to this statement, but when I looked into his eyes, I saw that he meant it. That was one crazy contribution driven vision. On the way out of the mastermind me and my wife bumped into him at the airport, we took a picture together and parted our ways.

Now we meet again in Mexico, 15 months later. We grabbed dinner together, exchanged some stories, I asked loads of questions. We chatted for around 3-4 hours, good chemistry and energy. At some point we went on to discuss spiritual topics, I shared with him my Matt Rampit story. He looked touched by it.

Whale Watching

On the day first day of the mastermind, we were told that on the very next day we could go whale watching, I got really excited as I never seen one. However, the speaker told us that the weather forecast was looking rainy. He added that the chances of spotting a whale looked very slip and that we should bring umbrellas and raincoats.

I always wanted to see whales, it would be my very first time. In my heart, I knew if God brought me such a long way, things were prepared. So I immediately disagreed with the report and started declaring and expecting great weather and seeing whales.

The Whale Day
I woke up at around 6 am, I went outside for my morning hour of power walk. It was the day we were supposed to go whale watching. I looked outside, it was dark gray sky and it was raining as per forecast. I dressed up, walked barefoot on the beach and declared. I commanded the rain to go away, I commanded the clouds to leave and I declared it would be a beautiful day and that we would see the whales.

“God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” Genesis 1:28

Speaking
My first talk was on day two. Before getting on the stage I said a short prayer “Lord use me”. During my first session, I used a metaphor to explain the target audience. I shared my story of fishing in the Maldives and seeing seagulls diving into the sea this was an indicator of where the big fish was.

After the seminar I got loads of great feedback, people came sharing how the stories have touched them and how much meaning they carried.

Seagulls
At the end of the teaching day, the entire group went on a boat trip, we went to see whales. Suddenly the sky became clear, it was an amazing evening, no single drop of rain and we could see one of the most beautiful sunset.

The crew of the boat did not want to set our expectations too high. They told us that if we are lucky we might be able to see the whales as it is rather difficult to spot them in the sea. In my heart I had this deep conviction, it will happen. Our God is a generous father, I knew we would see something special, I was so convinced that I even told a couple of people on the boat that we would see the whales.

During the trip suddenly I heard people screaming and pointing towards me, on the right side of the boat there was a massive group of birds diving fast underwater to get fish. As if demonstrating what I was teaching a few hours before. I laugh and told them that I had arranged it for them. It was amazing.

We were sailing on, we passed gorgeous mountain islands. We saw a place where James Bond movie was recorded. We continued, the guide pointed toward the jungle and he said that the Predator movie was screened with Arnold Schwarzenegger there.

Suddenly, when the sun was about to kiss the water when the sky was turned orange and the blue water reflected remainings of the day just next to the boat we heard a splash of water and we could see dark color fins. There were two whales just next to our boat. There were a mother and a baby whale. It was just amazing. Gorgeous sunset, clear weather, it was beautiful.

We sailed on the sun was quickly disappearing behind the horizon, everyone was taking photos, recording videos and then we saw another whale, again just next to the boat, huge splash, it was a real treat.

We had also two-panel discussions, I leaned on Him for direction and for answers and I received it.

I learned to commit all the little thing to Him as I learned that He is a generous Father. On that day I decided to take flight a parachute behind a boat, before getting on it, I said: “Lord surprise me with something special”. Immediately when we took off from the beach, I was around 20 meters above the sea I looked to my left and I saw the massive bird, flying just next to me. It looked like a pelican. It was so cool to see him flying so high, just next to me, it was a really amazing feeling. I took a couple of pictures, some videos and then I looked down and I saw a massive school of manta rays, there were around 50 of them swimming together. It was an amazing view. All the glory goes to God.
