Peterborough – 10 min before the train…

We just finished two full days of mastermind in Peterborough. We were assisting and mentoring entrepreneurs on how to run businesses using online strategies. We finished the day a bit earlier but still, me and my wife had our train tickets booked for 9 pm.

When we arrived at the station, we wanted to join our colleagues to get on the same train to London. I spoke to two different officers asking if it would be possible to change the tickets but in both cases the answer was no, sorry we cannot do that.

Our colleagues left, we stayed behind and we had about an hour to wait for our train. Me and my wife went to a nearby shop, got some food and talked till the time passed.

Around 10 min before the train arrived we returned to the station. I was tired and wanted to get home. However, when we walked on the platform, there was someone who caught my eye. There was a guy, he was in his early 30s, his clothes looked a bit worn down and he looked limping, there seem to be something wrong with his leg.

I watched so many youtube videos of regular people praying for others on the streets and I watched the healings taking place right on the spot. I always desired that so every now and then I stepped out to do the same.

Step Out

I decided to pray for him. even though I felt tired. I approached him and asked him what happen to his leg. He told me

“Man, I’m bearly standing, my legs are killing me. It has been like that for the entire day”.

He told me that for some reason he has been really exhausted and his legs were about to give in.

I told him, “I believe in the power of prayer and could I pray for you?”. He looked a bit surprised, especially that right next to me there was my wife sitting in a wheelchair.

He said yes. I asked him if he had the pain right now. He said yes, I asked him where was the pain, He said in the lower parts of his legs.

When I laid my hands on his legs and started praying I felt a pretty strong heat on one of his legs. I had never experienced this before. I asked him to test his legs. He did, he was surprised, the pain from one of the legs completely left his body, but not from the other leg. So I prayed again, the same thing, I felt pretty strong heat on his legs. He tested and he was healed right there at the Peterborough train station. He just could not believe it, I was also blown away what just happened.

I told him to download the “Bible app” on his phone and start from reading the book of John. He showed me his phone, he already had it. He was on the day two, I encouraged him to read it as it is an instruction manual.

Shortly after, the train arrived we went to our allocated seats in separate carriages. Even though I was tired but I was so refreshed It was so cool to experience it, we were going over and over what just happened.

King’s Cross

One hour later we arrived in King’s Cross station in London. When we were about to step out of the train, there he was, Joshua standing and waiting for us.

He was so excited, his face was full of light and excitement, he could bearly contain himself. He said that he was on the phone with his mum and told her that he met us, we prayed for him and he got healed. Apparently, during the day he had called his mum and told her that there was something wrong with his body and what he was going through. He was blown away. He said his legs were fresh and the pain was gone.

Question at the Platform

We were talking and walking down the platform in King’s Cross. I asked him “have you accepted Jesus to your heart yet”. He said, yes, I come from a Christian family. I said, that’s not what I meant, have you personally invited him to live in your heart?. He said, his grandma has always prayed for him… I explained it does not work like that. It cannot be done through someone else, it has to be him who whenever he is ready, he can invite Jesus to live in his heart as Jesus wants to have a personal relationship with him. He took a moment and said, he is ready. And right there in the middle of the platform at King’s Cross station he accepted Christ to his heart and that’s when he received his new life. All the glory goes to God.

Reflection

On the way back home I reflected.

Maybe sometimes we are meant not to get on the train we want to get on with other colleagues…

Maybe there is a bigger plan that we do not understand

Isaiah 55:8-9

8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts,

Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.

9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth,

So are My ways higher than your ways,

And My thoughts than your thoughts.

Maybe God divinely searches who is available and matches them with people who need help…

Maybe we need to learn to trust more…
